About
Greetings! My name is Ani. I'm a passionate advocate for mental health as well as a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner located in Sacramento, CA. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from New York University (NYU) and a Master's of Science in Nursing-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Eastern Kentucky University.

My journey in mental health began as a registered nurse, where I immersed myself in diverse psychiatric areas including eating disorders, substance abuse, and managing mental health crises in emergency rooms. Driven by a desire to make a broader impact, I pursued my Master's of Science in Nursing-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner where I obtained invaluable clinical experience in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic mental illnesses across all age groups.

I've contributed to the field of psychiatry through scholarly endeavors by sharing my knowledge as a guest lecturer at UC Davis School of Nursing and UCSF School of Nursing. In addition to my clinical work, I've dedicated countless hours staying abreast of evidence-based ways to treat trauma and its affiliated diagnoses. My commitment to staying current on the latest developments in trauma-informed care underscores my mission to restore hope and help individuals move from trauma to triumph.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I find joy in simple pleasures. You'll often find me biking on the American River Trail, lost in the pages of a captivating book, or relishing quality time with loved ones. I also have a guilty pleasure for binge-watching crime documentaries!

Join me in exploring the intersection of mental health, compassion, and holistic wellness as we navigate the complexities of the human mind together.

Our Story
Trauma Recovery Psychiatry Center was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to help people receive the right diagnosis and the right treatment so they can truly heal and reclaim their lives. Over the years, I have witnessed firsthand how life-changing it can be when someone finally understands what they are going through — and receives care that truly fits their needs. The right diagnosis can bring clarity. The right treatment can restore hope. Together, they can transform a person’s entire future.

I have also seen the other side — individuals struggling for years under the weight of incorrect diagnoses, ineffective treatment plans, or medications that didn’t match their condition. That unnecessary suffering is what inspired me to create a space where care is thoughtful, trauma-informed, evidence-based, and deeply individualized.

At Trauma Recovery Psychiatry Center, every person’s story matters. We take the time to listen, to understand, and to work collaboratively toward healing. Because with the right support, people don’t just survive — they recover, rebuild, and thrive.
